Discover the Sacred Chardham with Traventuress

Uttarakhand is known as the "Land of Gods" because it has many holy temples and sacred places. Every year, lots of people who want to pray or find peace come here. In the Garhwal area, there are four very important holy places called Dhams. These are Yamunotri, Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Gangotri. Many people think these are some of the holiest spots in all of India.

These four old temples are near four big rivers. Yamunotri is by the Yamuna River, Gangotri is by the Ganga River, Kedarnath is by the Mandakini River, and Badrinath is by the Alaknanda River. These places are special because they're where these holy rivers start.

In the Hindu faith, people believe these places are very, very special. Many Hindus think it's really important to visit these holy places at least once in their life. They believe that doing this can help them find peace and happiness forever, which they call moksha.
